NECN 2012: Best Brewery: Woodstock Inn Station & Brewery
New England Cable News Viewers Like Woodstock Brewery Best of All
NORTH WOODSTOCK, NH - The proof is in the poll and the one taken by viewers of New England Cable News put the Woodstock Inn and Brewery at the top of breweries from around the region.
The designation as Best Brewery comes as the Granite State was determined as having the highest per capita beer consumption in the country and for Scott Rice, owner of the Woodstock Inn and Brewery, coming in with 49 percent of the television poll shows that locals and visitors alike have great taste.
"New England breweries make some phenomenal beers, so we are very gratified that those who know us are as passionate about our brews as we are," he said.
Rice poured his first local brewed beer in 1995 and since then, demand has grown for perennial favorites, like Pig's Ear Brown Ale and Pemi Pale Ale, as well as seasonal brews, like Kanc Country Maple Porter and Raspberry Weasel Wheat Ale.
The overwhelming response by viewers from around New England matches the growth at the brewery. Construction is underway on a $3 million expansion, which includes a 150-seat function hall and room to expand brewery operations.
